Do I need a new transmission?
When our customers provide feedback about their transmission problems and what is happening with their car, sometimes what they tell us is indicative that the problem could be fixed without a replacing the transmission. When we get the vehicle into our shop we will diagnose the problem and in many cases minor repairs can be made the broken components such as topping off the fluid, replacing the oil cooler thermostat, replacing the drive shaft or shaft yoke, or maybe it is an electrical connection, or the solenoid. We will always provide you with a repair to address the problem if replacing the transmission is not needed. Some shops will just replace your transmission or rebuild your transmission and tell you that it is the best way to go, but that is not always the case and it will cost you a lot more than if you just address the issue that caused the problem. How much does transmission repair cost?
You won’t ever pay for repairs that your vehicle doesn’t need. Most cars and trucks do not need a full rebuild or new transmission. If we don’t need to rebuild or install a new transmission into your car or truck our certified technicians will identify only the parts that need to be replaced. Our labor rates are the fairest in the area. So the labor and the cost of parts is all you pay for. We offer free towing and free rides to our shop. The total cost is for labor and parts which depends on the make and model and year of your automobile.

"Check Engine" light on and transmission problems.
Usually when the "check engine" light comes on and stays on and you are also having transmission problems there is a good chance that you have a transmission failure but sometimes it could be another issue that affects the transmission because the entire system is connected. Have us diagnose the problem and hopefully we can correct it with minor repairs.

Will I have any extra costs added in during the repair or when it is complete?
There will be no added fees or costs that you did not authorize at South Florida Transmissions. When we give you a price we stick to it. We are courteous and professional and fair throughout the entire repair process so you will know of every single cost and have the opportunity to authorize it. Our integrity is very important to us and that is why we have been around for so long and why are so busy!

Does your transmission repair shop repair in Stuart fix manual or standard transmissions?
We have been working standard transmissions for close to three decades years. Back in the 90's standard transmission were more prevalent so we are very experienced with repairing and installing manual transmissions for cars and trucks.

How long does a transmission check take?
The diagnosis of your transmission usually takes less than an hour. We will give you a courtesy ride back home or to work and call you with the diagnosis. And remember we always are ready to pick you up at your convenience when your car is ready to go.

If there isn't a transmission problem will it cost me anything?
No our multi-point transmission check is free of charge to all of our customers.
